The Grove at San Joaquin Gardens

Memory Support for Residents With Alzheimer's and Memory Challenges
Individuals with dementia battle loneliness, confusion, anxiety and anger on a daily basis. The Grove at San Joaquin Gardens offers hope. At The Grove, we use the renowned Best Friends program to help our residents cope with dementia-related conditions.

Accompanied by a host of services, this caring approach improves resident well-being, extends independence, and leads to richer lives. Best Friends is a wonderful concept in which caregivers spend time with residents and their families learning more about their earlier years - becoming their best friend. Caregivers listen to personal stories and use them to redirect a resident’s attention during periods of confusion or frustration. Learning the life stories of each resident also helps caregivers understand each one’s perspective - allowing them to better relate to specific needs.

The Grove's memory support program combines comfortable residential living with daily personal assistance. Programs meet the physical, mental, spiritual, social and cognitive needs of residents. Our caregivers are carefully selected and embraces the Best Friends approach. The home-like environment here is not clinical in attire or furnishings, so residents feel relaxed and surrounded by friends.

San Joaquin Gardens' exceptional staff is dedicated to enriching every aspect of our residents' lives.
