In addition to professional housekeeping, maintenance, and dining services, San Joaquin Gardens provides a host of additional support services to enhance the well-being and independence of our residents. These include the following, with details below:

TRANSPORTATION
As part of our mission to encourage residents to have active lifestyles, we provide the following scheduled transportation for off-campus excursions:
Scheduled Shopping Transportation is provided to the following locations:
Fashion Fair Mall
Fig Garden Village
Manchester Center
Albertsons
FoodMaxx / Trader Joes
The departure location for all shopping trips is our Breezeway, where a sign-up sheet is provided, but no pre-registration is necessary.
Medical Transportation is provided Monday through Friday each week with the exception of holidays. Transportation is provided to all doctor appointments within Fresno. Residents are picked up and dropped off at their apartment.
TRAM SERVICE
Tram service is provided on campus for all residential living residents going to and from the Sequoia Dining Room. The tram schedule is available from the tram drivers and is posted on bulletin boards in the laundry rooms and the Resident Business Office. Tram service is often available for special events on campus. Residents will be notified of this in the Garden News.
HEARING AID ADJUSTMENTS
Free Hearing Aid Adjustments are held on the second Tuesday of each month from 9:30-10:30 a.m. in the Wellness Exam Room located next to the Wellness Clinic. This service is on a first come, first serve basis. An audiologist from Physician Hearing Services volunteers his time to do this service for residents.
COUNTY BANK
County Bank visits our campus on the second and forth Tuesday of each month from 10:45-11:45 a.m. in the Commons Sewing Room. Volunteers are available to help residents cash checks. Residents need not have an account with the bank to participate. County Bank is a full-service bank and offers many services. Residents are welcome to request information regarding all of County Bank's services. The nearest branch to San Joaquin Gardens is located on Shaw, just east of Fashion Fair Mall.
BLOOD PRESSURE SCREENING
Free Blood Pressure Screening is available on the third Wednesday of each month from 9-10:30 a.m. in the Activity Hall. This service is provided by two of our volunteers.
MASSAGE THERAPY
On the third Monday of each month, a masseuse is available to conduct massage therapy from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Full and half hour appointments are available at a cost of $20 - $30. If you would like to make an appointment, call Sandy at 559-275-4659.
BEAUTY AND BARBER SALON
The beauticians are available for appointments Tuesday through Saturday. Appointments may be made by appointment or in person. Barber services are available at San Joaquin Gardens on the first Monday of each month. The Beauty and Barber Salon is located in the Commons Building.
HOSPITALITY CART
This service is provided for residents in Assisted Living. The cart visits Hawthorn and Pear Lodges one Wednesday each month. Residents can purchase tissues, lotion, stamps, envelopes, soap, and much more. Check the Garden News for specific days and times.
WELLNESS CLINIC
The Wellness Clinic is open to residents Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. The nurse sees residents on a first come, first serve basis. The clinic is located in the Fellowship Hall Breezeway.
